2011 SELF ASSESSMENT TAX RETURNS

AVOID THE NEW LATE FILING AND LATE PAYMENT PENALTIES

Over 85% of people avoid a penalty by filing and paying their taxes on time.

Make sure you join them and make sure you pay on time.

From April 2011, if you don't file your SA Tax Return or pay your tax by 31 January 2012, the penalties you will have to pay changed.

But, if you need to file a paper SA Tax Return, this must be by 31 October 2011.

The more you delay, the greater the penalty

One day late and you will be charged an initial penalty of £100 even if you have no tax to pay or you have paid all the tax you owe.

The penalties become even more punitive if you file three months or more months late.

In addition to the interest you will be charged on all outstanding amounts, if you are 30 days late paying the tax due, you will be charged an initial penalty of 5% of the unpaid tax at that date.

After six months, you will be charged a further penalty of 5% of the tax that is still unpaid and after 12 months, you will be charged a further penalty of 5% of the tax that is still unpaid.

We will be happy to complete and file on-line your 2011 SA Tax Return on your behalf.

WHY DELAY ANY LONGER?

In fact, before 31 January 2011, we had successfully filed on-line ALL of our clients' 2010 SA Tax Returns.

Clients who were due an income tax refund, generally received it within 10 days of their SA Tax Returns being filed on-line.
